I just installed a new set of Kanpore washer/dryer in space limilted closet. The dryer uses 220v while the washer uses 110v. However only one 220v e-socket is available on the wall. So I want to find either:
1) a 220v adapter has two 220v outlets from which one connects to the 220v dryer and another one connects to a 220/110 converter for the 110v washer. Or
2) a 220v adapter has one 220v outlet and one 110v outlet.

Please let me know where I can buy it or you have another way to make it work. Thanks a lot.

If you are in the US then it will NOT work. There is NO such "adapter", and if there were it would be illegal.

I suspect the same goes for other parts of the world as well.

There really isn't enough information here and 110/220 doesn't exist anymore in the US anyway. It's 120/240.

Right, you need a 120v receptacle for the washer and a 120/40v for the dryer.

You say "30AMP, 240v is installed". Does this mean the wrong straight 240v receptacle was installed, or is it the proper 120/240v, 4-wire receptacle using 10/3 w/ground cable?

You have to run two circuits:

One 3 wire circuit rated 240/120 volts, 30 amps for the dryer. This circuit will terminate at the NEMA 14-30 receptacle. When you say "240 volt-30 amps installed," was this circuit for a previous range or dryer? Or was it for something like a water heater? If there was a previous dryer or range, you already have the 240/120 there, if it was for a water heater, you have 240 only.

The other circuit needs to be a 20 amp 120 volt circuit for the washer.

It is not code compliant to tap into the 240/120 volt circuit, or to use some kind of adaptor to operate the washer. (although, I suppose someone, somewhere makes a non-UL adaptor, or you could jerry-rig it to work. (I won't tell you how, as it won't be safe)

Have an electrician install a 120 volt circuit for the washer, and the correct plug for the dryer.

This is a 4 wire plug.

An adapter can be made by placeing a 15 A fuse/breaker in a small breaker/disconnect on the wall and connecting to ground (G), W-White (Neutral) and (X or Y) for Black (Hot)

You would be removing plugs to change between the washer and the dryer.

A new 120 V, 20 A service is the correct option.

That's a 120 volt, 20 amp circuit, not a 240 volt, 20 amp circuit. Unless you made a typo in your original post.
