    Mears Electric Heat Thermostats
We have moved into another house with electric heat. The thermostats are 220v double break by mears. When turning on the thermostats in each room, none of them indicate the true temperature according to the knob setting. When they click, that is the current temperature in the room. All are different. Is there any way to adjust the metallic sensor so they click (turn on) at the temperature actually shown on the knob? Thank You

Mears is noe marketed by Invensys. Here is the instructions that are available.

Does not show if it can be adjusted.

Many times there is a screw adjsutment on the bimetal strip to adjust the setting of the sensor.

Most 2 pole stats click as soon as you turn the knob from off , this is one pole closing right away, the second pole will click once it reaches just above the temperature of the room.
