Intelectron BC8200R motion detector stays on all of the time
I have an Intelectron BC8200R motion detector in my backyard. Lately it stays on all of the time. I tried turning it off at the switch and at the breaker, but it doesn't change anything. I inherited this when I bought my house, so I don't have a manual and can't find one online. Ideas/suggestions as to how to get it to come only when there's movement and turn off automatically like it used to?

    Thanks.

Not a popular brand, six Google hits, and this post is one.

As the other sites mention, there is usually two settings, time and sensitivity. And someplace there is a test setting. Assuming the settings on these adjustments have not been touch and are correct, then the unit is defective.

The bottom of the motion detector has a sensitivity adjustment and a switch for setting test mode and the on-time for the lights. Test mode should turn it on for only about 8 seconds. Turn the sensitivity adjust to the least sensity setting. If the lights stay on then consider replacing it, not worth trying to fix these. Most box stores are a variety for about $30.
