Have power, but nothing works ?
I have a room with no power, nothing works, circuit breaker is on, I test with my wiggy and get nothing but when I plug in my outlet tester the two lights come on saying the outlet is OK. This really has me stumped. Can someone help?

    Thanks Dino

Using your wiggy ,test across hot and ground, if you read 120 volts, then the neutral for this circuit/outlet is broken.

Your rightI tried the hot and then the ground and I got 120, went back to the other outlet and netural is there. Now let me ask you... lets say the netural is broken in the wall (old building) could I jump the ground wire on to the bad (not active ) netural white wire to complete the circuit and get me going

    Thanks Dino

Don't use ground for neutral. I would not think"In wall" yet. Better than 90% are at a connection(breaker, switch, recepticle). They do get cut, most of those are through all conductors. Check Boxes each side of bad receptacle. Can use extension cord in known good receptacle as a reference, for testing.
