I have a new fan with remote that flickers.
It seems many have had this problem
How do I see the old answers before I waste people's time reiterating ?

You can use the search tool that's at the top of every page. Click Advanced search and you can narrow it down to only the Electric & Lighting board.

I see the others problems.
It looks like this is not a great brand of fan maybe?

It's not but Hampton Bay is worse. Is it a fluorescent light?

I know this is an old post but I ran into this same issue with my Harbor Breeze Triton 52" fans. I have 2 fans installed in the same room using 1 remote for both fans. The fans DO NOT have pullchains, remote ONLY with a single pole, single throw switch at the wall. The lights would flicker like strobe lights if you accidentally hit the light button on the remote.
I never could get them to work right so we just ignored it.
I didn't think about it until last night when I walked in the room and flipped the wall switch and the lights just started flickering on there own. I couldn't get them to stop with the remote as usual so I just turned the switch off for the night.
The problem was I originally installed compact fluorescent bulbs. And apparently they don't like that... Installed new incandescent bulbs and the lights don't flicker anymore and they actually work like they were designed.

You can't use CFL bulbs in remote fans unless they are designed for it.
