    Hampton Bay remote control codes
    Hi,

The code on the remote control to my ceiling fan has somehow reset itself. Someone has told me that the code can be found somewhere on the fan, but I was unable to find it. Does anyone know where I could find the code? Thank you and Merry Christmas.

You have to match up the dip switches in the remote to the ones in fan. They are in a few different locations depending on the fan. See:

There is a remote receiver switch in the top of the ceilling fan. There is a code set on it. That code has to match the one in the remote control. It is located inside where you put the battery in. you have to pull the fan down to got to the remote receiver unfortunately. Hope this helps.

I have several Hampton Bay ceiling fans and some have the receiver for the remote in the light kit and some have it in the wiring at the top of the downrod. I would look in the light kit first, as it is easier to remove and replace than the top of the fan near the ceiling. Good luck!

Sometimes it is in with the motor and then usuallu the dip switches are accessible on top of the motor.
