Ceiling fan makes a loud pop after its been shut off for a little while
My boyfriend installed a new ceiling fan to replace the outdated one that was there - it works just fine, the lights, the fan - but almost every time after it has been turned off it will make a loud pop noise - it can take a while for it to make that noise and its not timmed enough to have someone listen for - but not long after its turned off it will make this loud pop like noise - can't figure out what this could be??

I think mine is going the same thing. It's not "loud," but it sounds like a giant bug has flown into the metal fan base. Happens once or twice a few minutes after I turn it off.

Ceiling Fan Light Fixture_Bulbs POP [ 1 Answers ]

Why do the fancy light bulbs in my ceiling fan "pop" leaving the base stuck inside? It happens more frequently than I would think is normal. I am a widow and I have no one to ask. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question. Thank you.

Habor Breez Ceiling Fan Makes a Click when fan off [ 1 Answers ]

My Harbor Breeze 52" indoor ceiling fan makes a click noise every couple of minutes when the light is on but the fan is off. It sounds like it is coming from inside either the light housing or the fan motor housing. Any idea how to fix it? It's driving my wife nuts!

Ceiling fan with light kit on separate switches [ 1 Answers ]

I have recently replaced a ceiling fan with light kit with a newer model. I hooked up the wires from the new fan/light to the same wires in the ceiling box that the old fan was hooked up to. There are two switches on the wall plate, one for the light and one for the fan. When I hooked up the new...
