    3 wire breaker into 4 wire?
    I am changing the service drop from my house to my garage. I have a 200 amp panel in the garage with new meter and am running a 60 amp breaker to the 60 amp panel in the house. I am running 4 wires to the old breaker box in the house via underground. Currently the old, via 1953 Breaker box, is setup for a 3 wire feed, so neutral and ground are all in one "screw down block". Is there a new "ground" block I could purchase and install in the panel to separate the grounds and use my new 4th wire as the ground?

    You should be able to find a new "Neutral" bar or lug, which will be insulated by sitting in plastic mounting feet, and you can also find a new "Equipement Ground" bar, which will not be insulated and bolt directly to the panel's metal back box, at home centers or an electrical distributor.

    Since your spending all the money and time to upgrade, can you find the extra dollars to replace the 54 year old panel and breakers? You don't mention what size the new cable is, but you should be able to upgrade to a new 100 amp panel, depending on the size cable.

    The new panel will have the new Neutral bar, you will need to ask for the Equipment bar, as an addition to the new panel.
