Many problems with a 1 year old Yorkiepoo
Hi e1. We're having some problems with a yorkiepoo and wondered if someone could give us some tips. He has been around people to a certain degree, but it's mostly just my husband and myself here at home. When we do have family or friends over he is all over them. Jumping and licking and peeing on the floor. Just will not settle down at all the whole time, unless we crate him.
Recently we've moved into a different house with a fenced in back yard. He loves to run the whole area and the freedom, but if a neighbor comes out he goes right to that side of the fence and WILL NOT quit barking and won't listen to us either. We have to physically go out and bring him in.
Also, when someone walks by on the front sidewalk, he just gets so angry and barks and barks and will not listen to us.

We have to crate him when all of these things occur, but he is not getting any better. What do we do with him?? Help! :o

Sounds like it's time to invest in puppy training classes or obedience.

This will not only train him to be well behaved and follow commands but it will also help socialise him and get him used to being around strangers.

Hi Shaz. Thanks for the answer, and also have you known anyone who has downloaded Quick Trainer Pro? And does it work?

No, sorry I have not heard of it.
Hopefully someone else here has used or heard reviews for it.

I think the best answer for you would be actual classes as it would help with the issue of jumping on visitors ;)

If you do not wish to take classes then there are a few simple tips that will help.

If you have a few regular visitors ask them (family/friends) then ask them to completely ignore the dog when they come to your house.
If he is getting overly excited then not giving him any attention is the best route to take. It will show him that when visitors come there is no reason to be hyperactive and wet himself.

The classes would also help as it will show him how to behave around people and also teach him commands like "sit" and "stay" which would be very useful in those situations.
