My dog has a swollen gland on one side of neck. What should I do.
Minimally - call your Vet who will most probably want to see the dog. This is impossible to diagnose without actually seeing the dog.
How do you know it's a gland that's swollen?
Please post each question once - asked and answered
Only a vet can tell you why the gland is swollen or if is something else in the same area.
Make a list of any other symptoms/changes in her behavior and eating/drinking/pottying and take it and her to the vet for a full check up.
I have to agree with Judy and Cat here, please take your dog to the vet. There are too many possibilities. Why risk your dogs life? Bacterial infections can kill.
My concern is that it may be some sort of bite.
My pup was bitten by an unknown bug recently and the swelling was incredible.
The thing with bites that are anywhere from the neck up is they can easily block off the trachea causing breathing problems.
mastermarkk : well I'm not definately positive but its right in the erea where the gland should be. I usually take care of my dogs problems unless there life threatining. I've been to vet once since I had her. I give her all her shots. Well answer me this then. To
You don't know that this isn't life threatening.
That aside, please post the entire response. Your answer (and apparently an "well, then answer this ...") question were chopped off due to the limited number of characters which can be used.
