From the day OBAMA inherited the horrendous world-wide Bush/Republican recession to his last day in office, Black unemployment declined 9.1% during those years. One year under Trump, the rate declined less than 1% (7.7 to 6.8). Trump has no chance to equal OBAMA'S accomplishment for Black employment.

December 2016 was OBAMA'S last full month in office. The Black unemployment rate was 7.9%. In January 2017, partially OBAMA and partially Trump, the Black unemployment rate was 7.8%. (Interestingly, the first two full months of Trump's presidency, the Black unemployment rate increased.)

Prior to December 2016, OBAMA'S Black unemployment rate for the year ranged downward from 8.9% to 7.9%. From the beginning of the recovery (roughly 2010) to OBAMA'S leaving office, the Black unemployment rate decreased from 16.5% to 7.8%.

smoothy statistics don't swing in your favour, black unemployment has been in decline for a long time, as has unemployment generally, actually Trump created less jobs but we won't let the facts get in the way of a good story, that unemployment is low. It may just be that all those displaced older workers are no longer looking for a job
