What will happen if on probation in N.H and picked up a new charge and violation 2nd
I got in trouble when I was 18, now 22. I was on probation for Vermont and New Hampshire. I have done everything they have asked me. At 20 I got a violation of probation for drinking. Nothing happened they let my keep my deffered sentence and told me to do a alcohol course. December 3rd 2010 I got a petit larceny and another violation of probation because I was drinking. Before the charge I got off Vermont probation a couple months prior. I obviously have court soon for Vermont and then New Hampshire after, I just wanted to know what might happen so I am aware and prepared. Thank you.

If you were discharged from probation in Vermont, then you are done and the new charge should not have any affect there at all (as far as probation goes).

As to your current probation, if you picked up a new charge then it will be up to the judge and probation officer to determine what happens to you. The PO holds a lot of weight in these cases, so if you have been a model probationer then s/he will go to bat for you, talk to your lawyer about it. As far as what can happen, you can serve the remainder of your original sentence if your violated as well as whatever punishment you receive for the new crime.
