I may be wrong, but I believe it means that there is sufficient proof to prosecute him with a felony charge and it is believed that he may be an elopement risk, therefore he is back in jail.

What don't you understand? He was making what could be the worst street drug known to man. You don't think he should be behind bars?

Yes I do I just didn't understand why they arrested him after he was bonded out. I don't understand what being indicted by a grand jury was

It's not good. I hope he has a good attorney. Well, really I DON'T hope he has a good attorney, he needs to rot in jail. I've seen the effects of this drug from a medical standpoint.

When a grand jury hands down an indictment that means everyone is getting serious about the crime committed. Just being arrested is fine and dandy, but in Ohio once the fat lady sings at a grand jury the person can and will be formally arrested again. Some states do the grand jury thing and other states don't. You must be in a state that takes arrests and hands them over to the grand jury to determine if they need prosecuting or not. They do the grand jury thing in felony cases such as murder, manslaughter, drugs, etc. Just the more serious felonies level 4 and above are done this way in Ohio for instance. Just recently a guy here was arrested for burglary by the local Sheriff's dept deputies. Went to jail and was bonded out. Then the grand jury set down a formal indictment and he was arrested again and is still now sitting in jail awaiting his trial. Felony 2 charges and no bail.

Does not sound good for your boyfriend. Better start stocking up on postage stamps, writing paper and envelopes to communicate with him.

    Hello s:

A person can be charged two ways, (1) with an "information", or (2) with an indictment. Either the prosecutor has enough information to file charges, or he needs an indictment.

Why he was arrested a second time, I don't know. Maybe the doughnut shoppe was closed that afternoon.
