I am a 1st time probationee in Travis County , Tx . I have been on probation for 4 months out of 12 for marijuana possession . I am pretty confident that I will fail this test coming up on Friday . Based on my no previous convictions ( other than traffic offences ) is it likely that my probation will be revoked ? Is it possible to see jail time for failing a U.A the fist time ? Im losing sleep over this and would love some feedback ! Thanks much

First time?? Nahhh, I don't think you'll go to jail. I do think they'll put you on intensive probation, if they have such a thing. I'll bet they do.

They will avoid jail (it's expensive) but come on dude didn't you know they planned on testing you. Seriously don't screw up your life over something so easy to avoid.
Yeah it was kind of messed up the whole senario but Im not here to make exuses , I will have time for that on Friday. I will however state that I got a bit drunk at a friends wedding and was told next day that I was smoking a joint that I thought was a cigarette (I roll my own tobacco ) . Stupid yes , but oh well. Obviously I know they are going to test me , I have passed with flying colors for 3months . Haven't smoked since New Years Eve . Pot isn't worth going to jail for! Thanks for the feedback though!
If you have been complying with all of the other conditions of probation , being on time for you appointments , not missing any probation meetings any classes you have been ordered to go to ,and have full time employment , you probably won't be violated .Unless you have a real by the book probation officer . I'm sure you will be fine .Quote:
