Rarely do we get a false positive. Chances are pretty good that you are, indeed, pregnant.
OK thank you.
But is a chance then it's not right
I took another test and it is positive to.What should I do now should I go to the doctors or do I wait a while then go?
You call and make an appointment. Until you get in, get prenatal vitamins from your pharmacist/chemist and take them every day. Make sure you eat healthy, get plenty of rest and avoid alcohol and tobacco.
Ok thanks. What are prenatal vitamins?I smoke cigaretts should I quit?
Yes, you should absolutely quit smoking.
Prenatal vitamins are a special vitamin made for pregnant women that contain folic acid. Folic acid is necessary for the developing fetus. It prevents something called neural tube defects. These are defects of the brain and spinal cord.
If you can't find prenatal vitamins in your area, you can look for a multivitamin that contains folic acid.
As this is posted in the Child and Teen Health section, would you mind telling me your age please?
OK thanks just wasn't sure what they were.I'm 14 but I turn 15 in 3 weeks
Have you talked to your parents yet? They will need to know.
No I don't live with my parents my mum passed away and I don't know my dad.I live with my nanna do you think I should tell her?
Yes, you need to tell her. Whether you decide to keep the child or not you'll need her support.
Nannas pretty old it might be a bit too much for her to handle maybe I should just tell the guy about it.
What is your plan right now? Have you decided if you want to keep the baby and raise it? Give it up for adoption? Abortion? I know you're young, but whatever you decide, it's a pretty huge decision. You can talk about any of them here, but we can't tell you what to do. It's ultimately going to be up to you, but it's good to have the support of the people closest to you.
So does your "nanna" have legal custody over you ?
At 14 who ever is your legal guardian has to know and be told. And this is not like the flu that will just go away, and the longer you wait, the harder it is. And young teens getting pregnant is nothing new to any age group.
I don't know what I'm going to do.Yes nanna is my legal guardian,I know it's not like the flu I'm not that stupid.Well I suppose I am pretty stupid to end up pregnant.I will tell my nanna but mot just yet.I don't know if I could be a mum I need to really have a think
You need to tell your nanna now as you need to see a doctor about this pregnancy and she is most likely going to be the one that has to make the doctor's appointment.
I can make a doctors appointment myself I don't need my nanna to.I don't want to tell her yet she will freak out.If I decide to have an abortion then it's better she doesn't know anyway.
If you do decide to have an abortion, is it even legal in your area to have one without your guardian's consent? And who will help you get through it?
And I still think it's better if you make the decision with her. You're far too young to make this huge of a decision all alone
I don't know but he can just pretend to be my guardian.I don't even know what I'm going to do.
No, he probably can't pretend to be your guardian. Unless he is significantly older than you they'll know right away he is not your guardian. And if he's that much older he needs to be prosecuted because that would make him a pedophile. How old is this guy anyway?
You should talk with your nana. And if not her, do you have any aunts or even older cousins or a teacher you can talk to? Maybe your school counselor? You should not be making this decision alone. Have you made a doctor's appointment yet?
No haven't made a doctors appointment yet its long weekend easter. He's 24 I haven't told him yet so maybe he can help me decide what to do
Where do you live? In most places a 14 year old isn't considered legal to consent to sex, especially not with a 24 year old.
You really do need to tell your nana.
I live in australia.Legal to consent?
Bad news. Depending on where you are in Australia, the youngest age of consent is 16, and in some parts it's 17.

Not only are you not old enough to consent, but because of the difference in age between you and the father of your child, he is a sex offender.
Would this older man happen to be your best friend's father?
Sex offender. I don't really understand but OK.I don't think it really matters anymore
No I'm at the library in the city what does that matter though I don't understand.I just come here to use the free wifi I seen notice for this site and had a look wish I never asked now
The thing is, there are a few other posters using that same computer, and they all seem to be teen girls with similar issues. It looks suspicious.
Like I said, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and hope that you're not playing games with us.
The bottom line, you're 14, you're pregnant with a 24 year olds child. In the eyes of the law you are a child, and you are not legally allowed to consent to sex. He's an adult, and having sex with a minor is a crime.
You need to tell your nana that you're pregnant. There's really no way for you to hide it for long, and if you're looking to get an abortion you only have a small window of opportunity. No doctor will do an abortion past the first trimester (12 weeks).
The babies father can't take you for an abortion. He's not your legal guardian. In fact, in the eyes of the law, he's a pedophile, a sex offender, a rapist.
You need to stop seeing him. This man is only after one thing from you. You're not old enough to see that, that's why there are laws to protect children.
