    Belly button redness
About a year or so ago, my belly button has had a little bit of redness in it. At first it seemed to pus clear liquid and scab up. Now it has covered almost the entire inside of my belly button, but it does not pus, its just simply smooth and red. Any suggestions on what it is or how to treat it?

I have no idea, but if it was red and scabbing a year ago, why didn't you go to a doctor then? If you are worried about it, see your doctor.

Your belly button has become infected by fungus. It causes the belly button to turn red, and it can lead to a white or yellow discharge and scabbing. If you're experiencing these symptoms, please see a doctor. The doctor will prescribe an antibiotic medication to help treat the infection.

My daughter had a similar problem. We tried a neosporin ointment... it helped but didn't cure. We then tried an over the counter yeast infection medication. Cured it. If neither work... visit doc. Cathy
