California, property lien on Homestead Property?
Can Collection agencies place a lien on Homestead properties when unpaid credit card debt is involved? The credit card in question is in my name only. I'm out of work, and my mother just died, but we were both on the deed as Joint Tenancy. When my parents purchased the property many years ago, they filed it under the Homestead act. Thank you,

OK, no answer on the first Q yet... but does anyone know about the Homestead Exemption? I see sites that post cases where people have used that while in bankruptcy court to avoid a lien on their property. Im not in BK court, this is small claims for an old debt 5K. Im in New Hampshire, thanks
