    Hi, michellea21!

It could very well be an artist's proof by the description that you've provided. However, in order to know for sure, I would suggest taking it to an art gallery, art teacher at a high school, college or university; or auctioneer who has a specialty in works of art on flat media.

    Thanks!

I have a print of a river scene with a bridge in the back round a house in the middle ground along each bank of the river are retaining walls and homes that are also part of the bank of the river. The picture appeared old when I obtained it 30 years ago but I am no judge of age. The only mark on...

Engraving, Artist Proof, Artist Signiture Identification [ 13 Answers ]

15854 15855 I found this artist proof at a local thrift store. It's entitled "Lady Godiva". I think it's an engraving? It's numbered a/p II 2/8. It is a very interesting piece with "erotic hidden images" throughout. Someone told me it falls into the catigory of "ambiguous erotic art". Would...

I need to identify the artist in a print I have [ 1 Answers ]

The print (it is a mass produced print, not a painting) is of a mother and her two daughters, picking wildflowers in a landscape scene in the great plains - probably set in the late 19th century. I would think this is probably by a mid-20th century American artist. I have attached a scan of the...
