I have a LG side by side refrigerator, model #LSC27910TT. The water line to the water dispenser in the freezer door is leaking. I have a constant drip at the water line's lowest point which is where the water line comes out of the freezer door then travels underneath the unit. There's a connection right outside the freezer door before the line travels underneath the unit. That connect is solid - not leaking. Water is coming down the water line from above (inside the freezer door?). Are there any other connections between that connection outside the freezer door as the water line travels to the water dispensing unit? How easy is the freezer door panel removed so I can check for leaks? Please help! Thank you, in advance, for your assistance with this leaky mess! Mike

Nothing is easy but the water line sounds like it is defective and leaking. It will need to be replaced. The part number you posted is not in my parts book.

I'm sorry the Model No. is LRSC26923TT.

If the water line is defective, how do you replace it? Do you need to come in from the back of the unit or through the ffreezer door panel? If the freezer door panel do you have any spec. on how to remove it?

I am sorry but that model number is still not available to me. I was hoping that I has a picture diagram of the parts for the refrigerator and the diagram would show you how the water line ran. Whenever I service that kind of a item I usually rely on all of my past experience to accomplish the task. On your unit I do not know exactly how to approach the repair but removing the door liner would be a start. This might entail also removing the door gasket. Just make sure you remember exactly how you took it apart.

That's the model number. It may be a discontinued model. The water line for the water dispenser runs underneath the unit, with the kick plate off you can see the water line entering the bottom of the freezer door. There does not appear to be any access to the water line after it enters the freezer door except by somehow taking off the freezer door panel. Any advise on taking off the freezer door panel. It appears to be a solid piece with a long vertical handle. Model number LSC27910TT is a similar model. You can see it at LG Electronics Worldwide

Thank you so much for your assistance with this project. I recently purchased this refrigerator on Criagslist without much time to do any research. Our old freezer started going out shortly after purchasing a bunch of meat at Costco - I was desperate! It works fine with the exception of the leaky water line. I would like to have a functioning water dispenser and ice maker if possible.

If you were to service this type of problem could you provide me with a ballpark cost to repair.

Usually on these type of repairs it is time and material.

I have a similar (most likely the same problem). My water line is leaking and dripping out under the door. I have taken the door off but cannot figure out how to access the water line.

I called the ONLY LG service in town (i.e. St. Louis, MO) and I was told that I had to replace the ENTIRE DOOR. Over $330 for the door plus labor... over $500. This sounds crazy, even the service guy asked me I can live w/o that.

Can you access the door from the water dispenser? I can see how you take it a part. Any help would be appreciated!!
