Hi. Our Kenmore 110.78702690 Dryer won't turn on. We put the clothes in, close the door, push the start button, and get nothing.

I removed the back panel and tried bridging all the wires together, but that didn't work.

Any ideas what it might be?

P.S. About 2 days ago, the buzzer would buzz non-stop. We had to open the door to make it stop.

Clean the lint filter & please remove any wiring modifications.

I meant that I bridged the push start button wires with a screw driver, but nothing happened.

We clean the lint filter after every use, and I highly doubt a dirty lint filter would keep it from turning on at all.
