Ok, my weedeater cut and tangled around two small wires running from the back of the outside AC unit into the house. I am thinking this is the thermostat wire. The two wires are red and white running from the house. The two wires from the AC unit that seem to be connected to the red and white are yellow and brown. I have a Rheem unit with a furnace that has a Honeywell St9101 control board. I read somewhere that the control transformer may need to be replaced but I do not know where to find it on the furnace. I connected the red to the brown and the yellow to the white. Still, when turning on Thermostat, the AC fan does not run and the heat also does not work. Please help me make my AC and heater work properly again.

Do not play with the other wires. All you have to do is put the two wires back together. White to white and red to red. Anything else you changed put it back together like it was.

Well small problem, there is no white or red wire coming from the AC only a yellow and brown. I put red to brown and white to yellow.

If the weed eater cut the two wires to the outside unit and there was only two wires it does not make a difference how you connect them. They are for a single circuit that only requires that the 24 volts gets to the outside unit. The unit does not care what color they are.
If you just reattached the two wires back together and the unit will not run there is some other problem.

It is possible you burnt the transformer. It will be inside your furnace section where the controls are at. Check it for 24V coming out. Usually a blue and yellow wire. If you have a circiut board there will be a 5amp blade type auto fuse there that may have blown. Check all these and you should have found your problem

HVAC supply house for sure. Maybe electrical store and someone once said Radio Shack carries them. Get the correct one. Also seen them online

I was pulling weeds from behind the outside unit and the wires came apart from under the panel on the outside unit. I have 2 wires coming from inside the house a red, white wire and there is 2 wires inside the panel blue and brown wire. Can you please tell me which color wire goes to which one. Thanks

I was using bush trimmers and I accidentally cut the brown wire on my ac unit in half. I think it connects to the thermostat inside the house. How can I reconnect the colors and which colors goes to which?
