Senior prank are an urban myth and the work is hard and a lot more of it, but you will be older and wiser. If you have no problems now making friends, you should not have a problem in September
Do you remember your first day of middle school? Well, it won't be much different except that everyone has gotten a little taller.
Yes, there will be more homewor, but you can handle that, the work may or may not be harder for you, it all depends on what kind of student you are. Did you make new friends when you went to middle school? Same thing here.
Will any of your middle school friends be going to high school with you? If so, stick with them.
Yeah, moving to a new stage in life can be scary. It happens to all of us. I know it happened to me when I went back to college when I was 38. So, while we all experience it, give it a week and you will be GREAT!!

Don't forget that your old 9th grade class is there with you and your old friendship will continue. Fear of the unknown is common, fear of seniors is silly, they are just freshman 3 years older.

Koreankoshi, if you reread what ballengerb1 said it was that you don't need to fear seniors, they are the same as freshman, just three years older.

Hey! Come on! Don't be sad!
High school is something new. What's new might be challenging at first, but it can't be that bad. Depending on what you make of it, it can't be a lot of fun.
Just be happy to move on to a higher level of education, be happy to meet new people, learn new things and enjoy new experiences. Look at the positive side of things!
In life, there are always new things coming up and if you know how to deal them well, they become good things.
So, smile, enjoy the summer and get mentally ready for a new 'beginning' next fall. :)

Hello koreankoshi! I advise first to find the book Seven Habits of HIghly Effective Teens Read it this summer and find out who you are and what your goals are. I have taught high school for thirteen years and know what is going on there. Be yourself, have your good friends (your friends are those who have the same vaules and goals) and don't worry about the "bullies". Ignore them. They have no goals and basically they want attention. They feel insecure about themselves. You will do fine. The purpose is to gain education, right? So, concentrate on your studies and a good hint is to talk with your teachers one on one. Ask them about problems or about something you didn't understand. Participate in class. Raise your hand and ask questions. This shows your teacher that you do care and when it comes down to possibly one point to a higher grade, the teacher will remember your asking questions and may give you the point. Go bravely into this new world. Be yourself and be strong in that! Do Your Best One Day At A Time!

I really hope you are a bit more confident now :)
As I said, you really should be looking at the positive side of things. Also, remember that life is what you make of it and high school is about to be part of it. High school can be fun if you make it fun. It can be boring and really hard if you make it that way.
So, make the best out of it! It's really worth it. There's no need to worry about it.
As chermann said, do your best one day at a time + take every challenge once at a time and enjoy every moment! After all, we've all been there and guess what? We survived! Lol
I'm kind of trying to convince you that you should look forward to it :p... cause, really, you should! Trust me!
Take care :)

Don't worry about anything hun.
I'm in high school, and I love how everyone makes it out to be so much worse than it is. But shh, we all have a bad reputation to uphold. ;]
There might be a little more homework, and a lot of the seniors are actually pretty cool. The only part about my Freshman year that I didn't like was the drama that was in constant motion. It was a really hard year for me and some of my friends because one of my good friends committed suicide. But other than that... it was all pretty good. People like to tease. That's probably the "bullying" but it's like... just crap on freshmen. Like "Stupid Freshman" but it only happens for the first few days. Then it all gets old.
Good luck!
:D

Ooh. And everyone is like a bijillion times taller. I can't tell you how many times I look at middle schoolers and laugh because they look so small. Even the incoming Freshmen look smaller.

Hmm... this year of school wasn't so bad. Classes aren't too hard because it's 9th grade and really interesting stuff. Math WAS REALLY BAD FOR ME. I had a fool teacher who skipped a lot of stuff and our class average was a 55%. Other than just normally having that 1 bad teacher which I guess we all have nothing is different.
