I had a miscarriage about 5 years ago. I never went to the dr. for that one. Then I had another one about 2 1/2 years ago. I went to the dr. for that one. They made sure everything was okay etc.
I was talking to a friend yesterday who had a miscarriage several years ago. They found out that it had something to do with her hormones. So when she got pregnant again, they gave her something that was supposed to help. Not sure what it was. She now has a 2 year old and is pregnant again but after her miscarriage it took a long time for her to conceive again.
Does that normally happen with miscarriages? Does it affect how and if you can conceive again? Is there anything I should be doing to help conceive?
Thanks for any info!

I had 6 miscarriages, over a period of 9 yrs, only went to the dr's. Over 1 of them,
4 months after my last miscarriage I got pregnant again, shortly after our house burned to the ground.
I went full term and delivered naturally,
Got pregnant again 4 months later, went full term and delivered naturally, Got pregnant again 5 months later , went full term and delivered naturally.
Only thing I did was go to a specialist and they run a few tests to see iffin I had a problem somewhere, They found nothing wrong or a cause as to why I had 6 miscarriages,
They did find a minor problem with my husband, But he refused any further examination after that by the doctor,
The only difference I had with the 3 I carried and the 6 I lost,
I got deathly sick with the three I carried, Lost 10lbs every day, and considering I only weighed 99 lbs, I landed in the hospital a few times, till my weight stopped dropping.
So really it may effect you and it may not, depends on a lot of different things.

It really all depends on your body. I had a misses miscarriage (miscarried before I knew I was pregnant) and got pregnant the following month. I'm now 15 weeks! My sister-in-law got pregnant with her first and carried to term, but was leaking amniotic fluid throughout the pregnancy. She got pregnant again a few years later and miscarried at 17 weeks. She got pregnant again around a year later and miscarried at 19 weeks, having to deliver the child. They did an autopsy (sp) to find the cause of her losing the babies and found that she had endometriosis and killer embryo cells. They did surgery to fix the endo. She didn't get pregnant until about 3 years later (due to divorce) but got pregnant without trying. She miscarried just a few days after finding out. Again she got pregnant about 3 months later and was enduced at 34 weeks for problems unrelated to the previous ones. She now has a healthy 20 month old little girl. Your miscarriages could be due to nature taking it's course, or there could be an issue. You will only know if there is a problem if you see a doctor about it. Sorry this was so long, but I wish you the best of luck. Let us know how things go

It depends on the indiviual because I have had several miscarriage but I also have children and get pregnet quite easily. I think miscarriages also have a lot to do with stress
