We recently adopted a new kitten. She is very playful, but while playing with her, she likes to claw and bite. The biting doesn't hurt, its just a little nibble. Is this behavior OK or will it cause problems later when she gets older? Also, when she is in a playful mood she doesn't like to be looked at. If she sees you staring at her, she will pounce at your face and swat at your eyes. Is this normal and how do we teach her not to do it? Thank you :)

This can definitely become a problem. Use a toy or wand, not your hand to play. The proper punishment is to Stop Playing. When Kitty gets rough, say, No! That's not the way to play. Use body language. Turn away, make it clear you don't like that behavior. Resume play with a toy, your kitty will learn!

Your kitty needs a friend adopt another, nothing can substitute another kitten and 2 is not much harder to take care of than one is. :)
