You are going to do damage removing ceramic from drywall. It is inevitable but you can minimize the damage by not prying, you'll poke through the drywall. Snag a claw hammer on the edge of the tile and pull down and toward you with a sharp tug. Don't know what you have planned for this wall but if its paint or wall paper you may be better off to remove the drywall. Retiling can be done on the damaged drywall. You will need to use a paste or liquid paint remover on that door. I'd pull it and take it outside to avoid damage to the home.

Removing Tile, We Use A Wonder Bar, Basiclly Any Kind Of Pry Bar With A Flat Edge You Can Use To Get Behind The Tile, You Don't Need To Pry Just Tap With A Hammer Till The Tile Loosens Up Off The Drywall.

I Don't Know What Warnish Is Unless Your Saying Varnish, If So, You'll Need Some Paint Remover, They Make Some None Toxic Stuff That Works Well, I Don't Know The Name Off Hand, You'll Also Need Some Sand Paper, An Electric Sander Would Be Helpful Here. After You Put The Paint Remover On And Let Is Set Up, Scrap It Off, And You May Have To Use It Twice On More Detailed Areas.
After This, Use A Scraper To Get The Harder To Reach Areas And Then Sand And Re Stain, You May Want To Use A Wood Conditioner Before You Restain To Help With Stain Being Even

Getting started for home improvement should be during Spring. Start it with the kitchen, it is better and convenient too.
