My husband and I rented out a room to a girl that lied to us about her mental state, she has been with us for 1 month and the truth came out, she has borderline personality disorter, however she has been causeing a lot of stress, we never signed a lease with her and gave her until June 28th to move out. However she left 2 weeks ago to go to the hospital for her own isssues and since then she has come back, she says that things are going to change and it hasn't, do we have the right to ask her to leave sooner. She has told all the neighbours that she hates me and that I yell at her all the time causeing a lot of problems with my friends now. SHe tells my husband what to do, and when she asks me something and doenst like the answer then she goes to him and tries to get a different answer. Which is causing us to fight.
What can I do. How do I get her out of our lives now and let us have our happiness back? Please any advice would help right now.

It sounds like she is more of a child for you and our husband to take care of than an adult who can take care of herself... I personally don't know too much about "renting rooms out" but if I were in your position I would let her know where you stand and tell her that you need her to leave. Perhaps it will cause tension -- but at least you will be at peace once she is finally gone.

Stick with your original eviction date and do it legally. Advise her calmly that you would appreciate if she would leave sooner but you cannot make her do so. Make clear that for the remaining time she is there, she is renting a room but other than that business arrangement, you do not have a relationship with her and are not going to "get into" things with her.

Then, when she's irritating, do not take the bait. Let it go and she will soon be gone.
