My honda starts good runs good but when you cut it off it will not start for a few hours and the gas odor is strong. What could my problem be. I replaced the gas filter after my daughter ran out of gas. And I replaced the plugs, wires, rottor cap and button, pvc, switch, and wire harness. Please help. Could it be vacuum locked if so how do I take of that

It sounds to me like a fuel injector is stuck open. The residual fuel in the line trickles and slowly stops, eventually evaporating and then the car re-starts. Have a qualified technician check and clean the injectors. Good luck and let us know.

. Check/replace the igniter and coil. Many AutoZone stores can do this for free. Personally, I would replace them, due to the age of the vehicle.
. I would replace the main relay.
The above components are prime culprits to intermittent electrical problems on Hondas. I believe one or more of these items are breaking down, due to heat.
