I was just served a summons for a civil case against me personally. If I move all of my checking and savings to a sole proprietorship business account are they safe. What if I incorporate or LLC. I have time and want to ensure accounts are not levied. Thanks

No your money is not safe as a sole proprietorship. You have to incorporate! That is the only way your money is safe. Because it is no longer your money it is the cooperations. We have done a similar move with our construction business. We have some problems with the IRS and EDD thanks to neglagence and forms filled out incorretly. So we incorperated and they can't touch those funds! I wish you luck! It's always stressful dealing woth stuff like that!

Hello 26:
If you closed your account to avoid it being levied upon and it can be proven that that's why you did it, you can be charged with fraud.
