Hi there,
A year ago my dog had surgery for bladderstones, it looks like they might be coming back, we are feeding him a prescription diet that he does not like, does anyone know if I can cook him something to help with the taste of the dog food, that won't hurt him. Thanks

It is really difficult to prepare a diet yourself that will give a dog the complete and balanced diet it needs. Besides, the dogs need the hard, dry dog food to stimulate their teeth and jaws. Add the complication of keeping the salt and minerals down, and I think you are better sticking with the prescription diet. Often poor appetite means over feeding.

Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest.
You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is
Different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog
Must have its food adjusted to its individual needs. See
