It seems like I don't really fit in anywhere. I'm 17 (male) and I had plenty of friends at scholl. But since I went to a different college everthings changed and I found out hu my real friends are. Also the people in my classes are imature and I can't seem to mix with anyone- not that id want to come down to there level. Does anyone else have this problem or have any advice for me?

I used to have a great social life and now I don't do much execpt pursue my hobbie which is music. I don't even go out with friends at the weekend and I am feeling lonely...

Some people grow up faster than others. I remember being 21 and almost everyone I knew only cared about getting drunk. I didn't get it. Anyway, eventually you will find a group of people you fit in with who share similar interests. I'm assuming this is your first year away at college, which is when a lot of kids spaz out because they are away from mommy and daddy; causing them to act like idiots. Hang in there and see if there are any people you can get together with who also like music. Maybe start a band, or check out amateur night if there are any locally. Patience is the key sometimes!

You're 17 people are going to be immature, but as long as they are not doing anything illegal or morally wrong to you. You might want to suck it up and go hang out with them. You might find out that although on the surface they are immature you really get along with some of them or maybe they can lead you to some people that you do like. It's a pain I know but the best way to meet people is through other people. I met some of the best people in my life through people that I didn't particularly like but hung out because it was better than staying in and being alone. Be friendly, smile, and forget the small things that people do that annoy you.
