The outside unit comes on, but the air exchanger will not come on. I have checked all of the circuit breakers to ensure that they are not tripped. What would be my next step to check to resolve this problem?

Go to the air handler and jumper R&G. Does the fan run? Could be the capacitor or the fan relay. Make sure the button is pushed in on the cover.Also check that switch

Do you have an auto/on switch on your thermostat? If so switch it to "ON", Does the fan run? If it does , it may be a bad T-stat. If not, remove the cover on the T-stat and check for loose connections, also remove the blower door on the furnace and do the same, with the power off to the furnace, try spinning the blower wheel, Does it feel free? Give us a little more info if you can.
