It sounds like you really could benefit from some actual testing as to what class would be the best for you and what resources can help you. It is odd that your teacher has not recommended that and suggested even a tutor for you. Are you going to enroll in Summer School?

Not everyone succeeds in the traditional way of schooling, especially in your situation. You have been expected to be at a level you are not prepared for. Talk to your teacher. Talk to the school counselor. Talk to your parents. Someone has to listen to you. And not allow you to struggle so much that you end up failing.

I guess then that you should be asking for a tutor during the school year and that you should be going to Summer School. Summer School is more one on one and you could benefit from that extra attention.

As an educator I can only assume you may have a learning disability. You can benefit from getting tested. Talk to your school guidance counselor and let them know what difficulties you are having.

Get a spiral notebook, and write down some notes during class times. It is much easier! Just remember to write down little details,so that you can understand your notes. Don't write down everything that you hear, though!Because that could be tough! When you get home, take some time to study your notes. Then before each class, look at your notes,so that time would keep you steady.

I can relate, school was VERY hard for me as well. Just write down notes, talk to your teachers and possibaly take a test to see if you have a disorder or whatnot. Maybe even some kind of attention medicine may help you. If you do have a disorder and need special attention, remember that your NOT dumb, your not bad, you just need special attention because your different and learn differently then other kids. Good luck to you, congrat's on moving to a safer country!

Get tested for Learning Disabilities. Just seek help in your school. They know what to do.

You should get tutoring lessons and you should write every thing down that the teacher says and writes. Also, you haven't mentioned what grade you are currently in. If this deosn't help, ask a teacher, parent or your guardian

I'm the same and I found that taking a small booklet to school everyday and writing all the things the teacher says helped a lot. You should also study every afternoon on the 5 major subjects
- Maths
- SOSE
- PE
- Science
- English.
I will help. I always got d's and e's for my grade every time I did an exam or assignment (getting a c+ is a pass- anything lower and you fail) But ever since I started studying, I've been slowly getting a and a+ for my marks. Give it a go
