Hi, I have a 13 year old border collie cross. Over the past few months he has started urinating in the house even though he has just been out in the yard or for a very long walk. When he urinates it is not always in the same areas, he goes in different places.
He has also developed a cough which is very bad in mornings and it occurs occaisonally throughout the day.

Has anyone experienced this problem and if so can you help me?

Both problems could be from infections that antibiotics from the vet would clear up. He could also have a benign tumor the vet could remove. What may have worked for somebody else's dog might only delay the treatment your dog needs.

Paula, I agree with both posters above, especially on the possibilities labman has brought up. You need to bring your dog into to the vet for an examination. Bring in a urine sample as well so they can start with the easiest test and work from there. Good luck and if you get a chance, post back and let us know what the outcome is.
