It can take up to 2 years for your tummy to return to its normal state and even then it will take a lot of work to get ittotaly flat.
Lots of good food and exercise is needed be patient and steer clear of fatty foods and alcahol hugs xxxx
**** edit ***** I wouldn't advise serious dieting if you are breast feeding the baby needs the calories more than you know.

To lose weight you need to cause a caloric reduction by reducing your calories below your normal intake, don't know how much you eat, keep a journal for just a couple of days and record what you eat, go over and make changes. Losing more then 3 pounds a week can make the metabolism go into survival mode decreasing the calories burned everyday and making losing weight difficult. For fat loss reduce your calories by at least 100-500 calories and never go under 1000 calories a day. I think your calories shouldn't drop below 1200 calories for women and 1800 calories for men. For abdominal fat reducing resistance training is key, but you must work the whole body, use crunches, hip lifts, reverse crunches, crunch machines, ab rollers it's a lot easier on your back the sit ups. Jogging, walking, biking, swimming andthing that works your whole body, 4-5 times a week, for 30-60 minutes a session. It takes time and patience to get a flat stomach, you need proper nutrition and this mean portion control, a serving of meat is only 3 ounces, you need whole grains, wheat bread, rice pasta and cereals, low fat skim milk, low fat yogurt, skim or partially skim cheese, fruits, veggies, and lots of water, what you want to cut out is junk food, fast foods, fatty foods, presweetened drinks, drinks lots of water instead. Bake or broil your meats in olive, or canola oil, use spreads instead of butter or margarine, cooking sprays and the new spray dressings are excellent! You can do this if you make small changes and then stick with them!
