There's this movie, made in the 90's I think? Anyway, I don't remember much but it had a Joey and a mouse plus other animals and they went on a adventure or something. And when they came back the young mouse went into her burro to find her parents but her burro had been poisened!! Then she got sick and they (the other animals) had to build a flying machine. It was made of leaves and that I think. Anyway, the joey then flys the machine.

It's "Once Upon a Forest" (http://imdb.com/title/tt0107745/) (1993). A lot of your details are off (there is no Joey, it's a hedgehog, a mole, and a mouse and the little badger is the one who finds her parents dead and becomes ill from the poisonous gas from the tanker truck)
