This is very embarrassing!
I have skin that is much darker than my normal complection. It is unfortunately due to carlessness from my youth. I scrub really hard but I can't seem to get rid of it. Please help. Please note that I can't afford expensive creams and laser treatments. How can I get rid of this problem??

I have been researching on amira magic. Some people say it is not very safe. I can believe that because the amira magic websites don't mention what ingrediants they use in their products. Anyone else have suggestions on how I can get rid of bark skin on my neck and under arms. Please sumone help. Its veri embarrassing.

Try using glutathione then. But I have used magic cream for my underarms, and I never had any problems with it. Been using it for over 6 months now. I think those people with negative feedbacks got the fake ones... there are fake ones people. So beware!

I used it for about 6-8 months now. I did stop before, because there was no stock available. And the dark shade came back. So I'm still with it until now. No negative results. Didn't get sick or what. I don't know where these people really get these things... and those people are the ones who haven't tried them. Or got the fake ones... those are dangerous

Ok, I have the same problem with my skin. It does look like there is dirt trapped in there, try this. When your in the shower, try scratching lightly on ur underarm area, and look under ur nail, is there a build up of dirt?
What am thinking it is from underarm deorderant, the solid white stuff, I think it trpas dirt or something, I don't know about the skin whitening cream, but maybe an exfoliant, I was reading about a product that exfoliates and whitens at the sametime, not too sure what though.
But I am however on the verge of seeing a dermatologist for this, and once they prescribe me something, I'll be sure to let you know! ^_^

Does any one has experience of using 'meladerm'. What are the side effects. And can one stop after a while once results are achieved.

Its for all all those people who said that they have particularly "DIRTY SKIN" on neck & under-arms, I'd like to point put that they are more probable to have the same on their knees and elbows too...this is a medical condition called Acanthosis Nigricans, and the main cause is Insulin Resistance- usually concerned with obesity or hormonal imbalance or type 2 diabetes or all of the three. And I am sorry to say that prolonged cases of this are unable of being treated radically but new cases have a far better chance of dwindling the so-called dirty skin syndrome. As far as skin-bleaches are concerned, using them on such areas should be quite in vain so please do not further irritate ur skin by using bleaches and immediately go and consult your GP regarding this because they are the ones who can give you the best low-down on this condition and how to treat it the most effective manner. & for those of you who are yet reluctant to see their doctors you might want to try home remedies like lemon juice (its a natural bleaching agent), honey (also natural bleaching agent & antibacterial as well). Rest I can suggest u may try taking extra supplements of zinc (it is a brilliant skin nutrient) but please keep in mind the RDA (recommended daily allowance) and to compliment the zinc you might want to add extra vitamin C (max 800mg daily). And if u suspect yourself of having this condition due to insulin resistance you might want to try Neem plant supplements- its an Indian plant & is famous for its diabetes healing properties and is an excellent skin purifier as well but make sure u buy the original neem supplement capsules as counterfeits will not show u any benefits and more likely to harm you. One more thing I'd like to add as a finsihing note- Even I suffer from this- a very mild version though and I am very light skinned south asian person and I did try using Meladerm (remember that it is not skin-whitner but a skin lightner) I have to say that it did not show any results on my neck for the comparitively dark areas but apart from that it did get me rid of my birth marks which was pretty impressive but then again which ever product one uses for getting rid of blemishes and melasma, the results of the product are quite relative to the individual's own skin. on the other hand I believe that spending fortunes on such creams seems like superfluous spending to me. so guys be skin-wise and at the same time be money wise.
Cheers all!

Just shower daily n scrub hard it does go away eventually it starts going away slowly but surely also find a good beatucianist and make confidential contracts becauseit can be quite embarrassing and then get these areas hot waxed because hot wax pulls out dirt and dead skin! Good luck hope all the best

The best thing to remember when choosing an option is that your skin is living tissue and must be handled carefully. I would suggest testing to see if an exfoliate works. My daughter had really bad eczema on her elbows and I have really dry skin that turns dark when it is dry. I use exfoliators every time I shower and I also moisturize the skin like crazy. If you take care of the skin it will repair itself and you won't have to use a cream for the rest of your life. Also switch to a deodorant for sensitive skin or a spray. Be careful what you put on your skin as well. My skin is even toned and I don't see the dark spots anymore. Even in the summer I can keep my complexion the same. I just take extra measures in my daily routines. LOTS! Of water also. Hydrated skin is healthy skin.

I have the same problem right now and I'm really scared. But I think to get rid of it is try to take a shower every single day as you can and keep scrubbing the dirt off your skin but not to hard because I did that once and it could really hurt you and damage your skin. It will leave the mark and you might start to see little red dots like its almost bleeding when you scrub the dirt off your skin. So might want to scrub it gently everyday and after your out of the shower take some lotion and something like Vaseline works good for me it will stop the itching and everything. Sometimes it happens when you wear dirty clothes and stuff so just try to stay clean all the time ! I hope this helps. Because I'm going through the same thing but don't worry it'll go away :)
