Hi all. I have recently been asked to be a Godparent for my cousins son, who will be 9 months old at the christening. The trouble is I am 22 and have never been christened. Would it still be acceptable for me to be a Godparent (something I am honoured to be asked to do and really look forward to) or will have have to be christened before I could be a Godparent?
I don't want to sound rude or offend people but I'm not 100% sure what happens at a christening, but I would love to be a godparent for my cousin, so if I did need to be christened then I would have no hesitation in doing so. Unless it is frowned upon of course.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you all for your time in advance.
