You would have to go to the dr and get checked. Only he will be able to tell you for certain what's going on... ask for a blood test.

There's a lot left to wonder about your post. How long is " been trying for ages" also, this bleeding, when is your normal period suppose to arrive. It could just be that your period is early, or late, or you are just having some break through bleeding. A little more info is needed. But I agree with Myth, your doctor is the best person to speak to. If you have been trying for over a year, they can possibly advise you of ways to help increase your chances of conceiving
