Hello all, I would like to know if anyone has had aproblem with a catalytic converter, and what the symptoms would be on your car, I have a 2005 nissan quest and it jerks rpm stays at 5 when on the highway, I have had a diagnostic test by the dealer ship and waiting for part to come in, but was told there were other transmission codes but can not tell what they are until this problem is fixed. If anyone can tell me what type of problems they had with the catalytic converter just so I know what the other problem could be. Thank you very much in advance

On a 2005 any make, if the cat was not doing it's job, then the computer would kick out a code like p0420 (catalytic efficiency)
What you have is transmission issues from what you're describing.
