Help! Anyone, I am really anxious as to wheter or not I may be pregnant. Going by my ovulation date which was 19th may (Sat), would it be worth using a HPT kit today, I really really want to know.

It really isn't worth spending the money or using an hpt until you miss a period. As hard as you find it wait until you miss your period. It will save you a bundle in hpt's. I know cause I just couldn't wait either and it cost me a small fortune... Patience.

I have to agree with Myth here. Although there are some tests that purport to give a positive result that soon, they can be very unreliable. The reason being is that it takes time to build up the pregnancy hormone hCG in your system. This does not happen in 2 - 3 days, but rather weeks.

HCG is the hormone that is produced during pregnancy and the hormone that the HPTs are sensitive to. Therefore, testing too soon, if you are pregnant, will reveal a false negative.

I know it really sucks to play the waiting game, but pregnancy is all about becoming a member of the wating game. You have to wait to see if you are pregnant, you have to wait the entire nine months to have the baby, then you have to wait while you are in labor. Just one of the joys *sarcasm* of being a woman.

Hi there, I would wait... I know people say that some HPT can be positive early, but I know from months of testing early that you end up being disappointed and spend money for nothing. I would seriously try and wait till your period is due - I know it is hard... good luck though x
