My buddy has a 88 GMC pick-up truck and his AC pulley seized up. Any help on pulling this out?

Sounds like the compressor may be locked, are you pretty good with cars? If so it's not too bad to replace. It is sometimes cheaper and easier just to find a used compressor from a junkyard and replace it.

With pulley attached, and pressure applied, Pb blaster penetrant, Tap end of shaft, apply
More prssure, repeat. Heat, apply more pressure, Tap end of shaft. Should be off by now.
Sure was easy to write this.

I think your a little off there stratmando.
Isn't the compressor full of freon, and how would I go about releasing the pressure?

I'm supposed to tell you that it has to be recovered by a EPA certified technician. But you get it however you need to, I noticed someone else gave you advice on how to remove the pulley, it won't work, the problem is with the clutches on the compressor and it requires a special tool to get it out, like I posted earlier just find a used compressor. After you replace the compressor just convert the system to 134a

If you are replacing compressor, why pull the pulley? Hvac may be able to tell you if pully
Is included. I was giving info for pulley w/ Key. I WAS off. Thanks for not giving me a red mark.
