Hi, my cousin would like to find a job here in the US. She graduated from one of the best school in her country and did not go to any US colleges. Is it possible for a company to sponsor her for H-1B visa or does the sponsorship only valid for those who have gone to US colleges (w/ F-1 and/or OPT)?

Is there any other way for non US residents to work in the US?
Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

Yes, there is a possibility for a company to sponsor your cousin for employment in the U.S. I worked with a woman who had her Human Services degree from her home in Mexico City and she found employment with a non profit in Washington, working with migrant families as a Casemanager. So it sis very possible for this to happen for your cousin. But she needs to do some looking and I wish her the best of success.

Thank you, shygrneyzs.
Did your company go in the same route as in sponsoring F-1 visa to H-1B visa?

By the time this person came to work for my agency, she had already fulfilled all the requirements for becoming a citizen. So I do not know all the details, am sorry I can not fill in the blanks for you.
