Our motel is having a lot of problems concerning the temperature of our rooms. Some of our baseboard radiators give off heat even though the thermostat is turned off (I can feel the hot water in the pipes). I tried to close the valves manually, but I could still feel some heat when I checked up on it a few hrs later. How would one figure out if it's a problem with the zone valves, or if it's a problem with the thermostat? Another room has the opposite problem; there is no heat going through the pipes, even with the thermostat on fulltilt. We tried to open the valves manually, but the radiator stayed cold. One side question: do zone valves really cost $150 canadian dollars? In afraid of how much its going to cost to fix this problem when the labor is costed in.
Thanks. Ill be waiting for your reply
