I live in North Dakota and have lived here for the past 3 years. My divorce went through in Colorado and my exwife and daughter now live in Texas and have for almost a year now. Her new husband wants to adopt my daughter and I want to give up my rights so he can. I have called the Texas legal offices numerous times and I keep getting put on hold for hours or I get the run around once I do get ahold of someone. Colorado says the process will take a year and I have to appear in Colorado for a session to dtermine why I am wanting to give up my rights. I don't have the money to take off work and fly to Colorado and they are wanting this done soon. Our daughter is now a resident of Texas and I would like to see what it takes to give up my rights that way and I want to know how or who I can call to get everything I need to do so.

Well Colorado Court has jurisdiction of your case so it would have to be filed through that court, unless you petition to have the jurisdiction moved to a court in Texas. You can't just by pass the presiding court.
