Currently no such test exists for determining the sex that early in the pregnancy.

There was a test that claimed to be able to tell the sex of a baby at 5 weeks after conception.

However, they have published no studies backing up the accuracy, and I think that this test will be very hard to find on the market:

Baby Gender Mentor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_Gender_Mentor).

There are no guarantees (except the companies one) that it will be accurate.

Depending on the time you conceived (if you remember), if it was 3 days before ovulation most likely it's a girl, if it was 24hrs or on the day of ovulation most likely a boy, these are methods with a 70 - 90% success rate but then again if you really look at it you might want to leave it in the hands of fate and destiny. Pray that you have a safe pregnancy and wateva you have girl/boy it is a healthy baby

You could get an amniocentesis at 16 weeks, but it isn't recommended unless you have genetic issues and is expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it. You risk losing the pregnancy as well. I had 1 with my first child and 2 with my second and it doesn't feel good and made me a nervous wreck for a couple of days before and after the test.

Once the baby is big enough to see on the ultrasound, you will get a pretty good guess. I hope you will be happy with a boy or a girl.

There is not a "medical" way to tell yet (except by ultrasound).
There are some things out there that say they can predict, but they are not scientifically back up as of yet.
What determines the sex is the males sperm.

yes I know the male sperm determines sex of baby x chromosomes/girl, y chromosomes/boy. Better chance of a girl(x) if you conceive 2-3 days before ovulation and a very good chance of a boy(y)24 hrs before and on day of ovulation - It's the Shettles method. But like I said before its not 100% positive just gives u sum idea. Hope it kind of helps because I'm also trying for a baby and using this method, I have a boy and wish for a girl
