Rather than posing a separate question, try responding by clicking on "quick reply" to my answer to your original question. I was lucky to find this 2nd question (response) to my answer. Anyway, is there an agreement signed by both parties or not ? If there is an addendum to any agreement, was the addendum written and signed by both parties. How can he not be paying, if there is no agreement requiring him to pay ? Is there a written agreement, addendum ? Sure you should be able to trust an atty, if not, find another one you do trust. If the first attorney has not done what you paid him for, ask him why? If you don't get a satisfactory answer, advise the attorney in writing that you want a written answer within 10 days or what ever time frame you want an answer by. Advise the atty in your request you will take whatever legal steps are ncessary to protect your interest. Retain copies of correspondence, then go to your local bar association that regulates attorneys conduct. But before you do that, understand you need to be as sure you can that your attorney has not, in fact, rendered you proper service and you will perhaps be jeopardizing his career... so be as sure as you can before you file a complaint with the bar association.
