I am pretty sure that if you are pregnant you will not have had your period, although saying this some woman carry on having periods throughout pregnancy. You are counted as 'safe' to have unprotected sex and not become pregnant two days before and after a period, this is what I have been informed by my GUM clinic when I was scared after having unprotected sex just before my period. I hope this is some help to you but your body may take 4 to 7 days to know you are pregnant I think. The best bet is to take a test

Although I will say please to do think it is actually safe to have unprotected sex two days before and after it is just a lower risk of getting pregnant, the risk will always be there

Women do not have their periods while pregnant. What they do have on occasion is early pregnancy bleeding. Many mistake this for just being a period, but the flow is generally lighter, and shorter. Everyone's body is different, and they sense pregnancy at different times. Some women never have symptoms. Some swear they know the moment they conceive. I'm afraid there is no sure way to no for absolute at this point.
