Hi I have a 1995 Pontiac Grand Pre and The power window will not go up.I had opened the window on the passenger side and it opened fine but when I tried to close it the window would not move. The driver side works fine. I decided to try and take off the door panel to see if I good fix it but have not been able to figure out how to completely remove panel. If anybody could help with this problem I would be very greatfull. Thank you TW:confused:

It seems most likely the window motor has stalled: the power window motor contact are corroded and the motor needs to be replaced. This is not uncommon on this type of vehicle. Sometimes the motor is part of the regulator, sometimes separate. There is no maintenance on window motors or regulators. When it fails: replace it. Contact a reputable shop or find a dealer. Ask for ASE certifications and ask about warranties. Good luck!

I have a 1999 pontiac Gran prix had the same problem. I took the door panel all the way off and it didn't need to be taken off. Where your power window switches are, all the buttons, that whole piece comes out there is a clip on the top and bottom. I used a screw driver to pop mine free. On the back side you take it apart, you can go to any junk yard and get a replacement for this I paid $30. For mine. Hope tis helps
