I have a 2 and a half year of Yorkie. She cries every time her right leg is moved in a specific position such has lying on her left side that causes her right hind leg to kind of rise, or when I pick her up by her underarms. She's not limping when she walks but seems VERY hesitant to lie down on her side. Does anyone know what's wrong? My suspicion is that her kneecap or maybe her femur joint is sore or something is wrong.

How long has she been this way? Dogs do pull a muscle or twist something funny sometimes. Since she doesn't seem to be hurting mostly, I would wait until the first of the week and let a vet examine her if it isn't improving. Otherwise, even if one of us had a good idea of what it might be, likely it would need treatment from a vet.

It happened just today, she was perfectly fine this morning and then I noticed in the afternoon that she had this problem. Her hind legs are now starting to tremble now. Her usual behaviour is a hyperactive girl, but now she's very mellow and seem so hopeless.
