I have a Payne Gas forced air furnace, and it's behavior has changed in the last couple of days, where it never gets past the Inducer motor cycle. When we turn on the thermostat (or even jumper across the "R" and "W" leads on the furnace controller) the inducer motor starts running and keeps running until we turn off the thermostat or the furnace. The ignition cycle never seems to actually start.
I have run the self test, which cycles through running the inducer motor, the dehumidifier, the electric ignition, and the blower running at high and low speeds for 10 seconds each. They all seem to be running fine when cycled separately. I have tried all of the reset switches to make sure they did not fix the issue, but have found no help there. I am guessing I will need to replace the controller board ($$$$). Is there anything else I am missing that I should look at before buying a new controller board / calling a repair man?
Thanks!

Sometimes the inducer motor will have a switch on it that has to close in order for the burner to come on.

Also some units have a pressure switch with a small hose on it and the pressure switch has to activate before the burner will come on.

The furnace could have either one of these but usually not both. These controls have been known to cause burner problems.
